Gerry Ricketts
Managing Director, Singapore
Gerry started his publishing career 20 years ago with Emap, one of the world’s biggest publishers of consumer magazines. He then spent four years at Future Publishing, where he was responsible for revenues across 64 magazines. Gerry has worked at Ink for eight years, and today manages all aspects of Ink’s Singapore operation.
Kevin Rolfe
Commercial Director, London
Kevin is responsible for all revenue across the European titles, and oversaw the launch of Targeted Advertising (TAD). Kevin spent 13 years at the Independent News and Media Group as Managing Director of the UK magazines division, Independent Magazines. Prior to that, he was Group Publishing Director at United News and Media where he was the youngest director appointed to the board at Miller Freeman. Kevin was Group Publishing Director, managing the Asia Pacific, USA and European offices publishing the relevant international and regional travel trade weekly title, Travel Trade Gazette.
Tina-Louise Jackson
Group Publisher, Singapore
Tina-Louise is one of our most experienced advertising specialists. She was originally based in our London office overseeing the advertising sales of CNBC European Business, CNN Traveller EMEA and CNN Traveller Asia Pacific before transferring to Asia. Previously, Tina-Louise handled the advertising sales for The Financial Times and also BusinessWeek for a number of years.
Andrew Humphreys
Deputy Group Editorial Director, London
Andrew has worked as a journalist in London, Egypt and the Baltic States. He was the co-founder and editor of the weekly newspaper The Cairo Times, and worked as an international editorial consultant for the Time Out group, launching Time Out Mumbai and Time Out Beijing. He’s authored or co-authored guidebooks to Siberia, Central Asia, Egypt, Syria, Cairo, Istanbul, Marrakech, Miami and Shanghai, and written for publications including The Daily Telegraph, Observer, Sunday Times, Time Out and Condé Nast Traveller. For Ink, he oversees editorial across the magazines produced in our London office, and is part of the creative team working on new business and launches.
Orion Ray-Jones
North America Editorial Director, New York
Orion started his journalism career at America’s pre-eminent dance music magazine, Mixer. Interviewing icons from LL Cool J and RZA to Ray Manzarek and Nile Rodgers, he quickly worked his way through the editorial ranks before being poached by music lifestyle magazine BigShot. In 2003, he was hired by Ink London to serve as an editor on easyJet Inflight and Impressions, the magazine for British Airways franchise British Mediterranean Airways. In 2005, Orion launched AirTran Airways Go magazine – Ink’s first North American title. He has gone on to create and launch award-winning inflight magazines, inflight entertainment guides and duty free catalogues for six more airlines, including United Airlines and Delta Airlines, and currently oversees Ink’s New York-based creative staff.
Liz Weselby
Editorial Director, Singapore
Liz is responsible for editorial content across all titles produced in the Singapore office, along with product development and pitches. She hails from the UK, where she worked for several years across Esquire, Harper’s Bazaar and Country Living magazines for the National Magazine Company. She then moved to Bangkok, Thailand in 2003. After launching a successful magazine supplement for the Bangkok Post, Liz set up a custom publishing business. She was the resident Bangkok editor for LUXE City Guides and editorial correspondent for Mr & Mrs Smith.
Peter Stephens
Design Director, Singapore
Peter oversees the creative of all titles produced in Ink’s Singapore office, being responsible for product development and new business pitches. Peter started out as launch Art Editor for newsstand hit Livingetc. After winning various accolades and establishing the magazine as one of the most successful interior magazines in the UK, he joined British Vogue as Art Editor. Peter has since worked on a number of prestigious UK newsstand titles including Ideal Home, FHM, Arena and B magazine. He has also been responsible for redesigns of a selection of titles including Woman. He is the winner of a number of design awards including Designer of the Year at the Hachette Awards and Design Team of the Year at the IPC awards.
Terence Goh
Associate Design Director, Singapore
Terence is Art Director on Mandala magazine and works on Horizon for TurboJet and Time Out Singapore, the world’s leading arts, entertainment and nightlife magazine. Terence has over 10 years of art directing experience in the entertainment magazine industry. He was previously the Art Director for Catcha Media group, managing designers in both the Singapore and Malaysia offices. He was also responsible for the art and creative direction for JUICE, Singapore’s definitive nightlife magazine, Stuff magazine Singapore and OK! Singapore.
Luke Tichart
Group Financial Manager, London
Luke heads up the company’s worldwide financial function and is responsible for a broad range of commercial duties including purchasing, budgeting and drafting contracts. Luke was educated in South Africa where he did his accounting articles with BDO Spencer Steward in Cape Town and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2002. He spent three years as a Financial Manager and Pricing Analyst with easyCar.com before joining Ink in 2005.
Mark Duke
Group Publishing Director, London
Mark heads up the commercial operations for Ink London’s largest two magazines. Starting his media career at IPC on the fast-paced women’s weekly titles, he then moved to the men’s style bible Esquire where he progressed to Advertising Director. Mark has extensive experience of dealing with London Agencies, FMCG brands and the global luxury market.
Carole Bellars
Group Financial Controller, London
Carole is responsible for the UK finance team and ensures that financial/accounting controls are in place for the UK and for Ink’s international subsidiaries. The UK finance team provides payment services to our suppliers, all the Ink Group company’s monthly Management Accounts, and annual statutory accounts for Ink UK & Group. Carole has previously worked as a photographic stylist, junior account manager at a below-the-line agency and in sales for a paper manufacturer. Her experience as a project accountant for Forward Publishing gave Carole a good grounding for the complexities of Ink.
James Malone
Group Credit/Compliance Manager, London
James is responsible for the credit control and compliance for all titles published from Ink’s global offices. His team now comprises 13 people in four offices dealing with more than 100 different countries. James has worked within the media industry for nearly 15 years at other publishing houses, creative marketing and television companies.
Jon Harrison
Head of Training & Development, London
Jon is responsible for the recruitment, training and development of commercial staff in the UK, and regularly runs development sessions in Singapore and Atlanta. With an extensive media background and over 10 years spent in sales and management training and coaching, Jon has worked with magazine, newspaper and online products. He worked at the Guardian Media Group as a sales manager, before developing and running the recruitment, training and development department. Jon was also responsible for the training and development at Mirror Group Newspapers before joining Ink in 2006.
