The role: Management Accountant

The main purpose of job is to provide quality management information to assist the commercial performance of the business

Responsibilities
– Responsibility for completion of multiple Gross Profit reports and assistance with P&L and balance sheet for the Monthly Management Accounts
1. Providing timely and accurate Monthly Management information
2. Preparation of monthly Board Packs
3. Preparation of all monthly Sales and Overhead Journals
4. Timely completion/consolidation of individual GP’s into individual Subsidiaries Management Accounts Pack
5. Completion and presentation of balance sheets account reconciliations (including intra-group trading accounts)
6. Preparing Customer financial statements/performance reports for submission
7. Assistance with the preparation of quarterly overhead reports to be sent to the business budget holders

- Input for Annual Audit of the UK company and assistance for subsidiary Audits:
1. Preparation of audit schedules
2. Assistance, as required for subsidiaries Audit Annual Budget Assistance

- UK Payroll and Tax Returns:
1. Headcount analysis and completion of monthly journals as required
2. Assistance and reconciliation for payroll liabilities year end returns to HMRC (PSA/P35 or equivalent)
3. Adhoc projects and financial analysis as required

The role: Creative Solutions Designer

This in an exciting and busy role designing, art directing and project managing advertorials and other design material through to print. You will be working as part of a creative team producing advertorials across our whole portfolio, for a wide range of advertising categories and clients.

We are looking for someone with a strong portfolio and some good previous magazine publishing experience. And someone who enjoys working on creative advertising – and can build good relationships with clients, sales colleagues and magazine editorial teams.

Responsibilities
– Designing and project managing magazine promotions through to print
– Supporting the advertising sales team to pitch for business
– Be pro-active in thinking of creative ideas that may generate new business
- Be a team player and share the responsibility to ensure that all booked jobs are on target for client approval and meeting the print deadlines.

Requirements
– Software – Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator
- At least two years magazine design experience

The role: Team Leader
This outstanding opportunity has arisen in our London office and we are looking for a strong Team Leader to join our growing team. You will have high levels of energy, relish a challenge and enjoy developing new business. In addition to this, you will be an expert closer, have strong negotiation skills and the spirit of an entrepreneur. Ideally we are looking for someone who has French, Dutch or Flemish language skill and some experience in working with these markets.

Initially working on one magazine, the role involves day to day people management of the team, including monitoring and managing performance, lateness and absence, call rates and lead generation. The Team Leader will also have a responsibility to sell on a day to day basis against agreed targets, and manage a number of key accounts.

Responsibilities
– Selling Display advertising against agreed targets, and managing a number of key clients within the magazine.

– With the Commercial Director, helping to implement and communicate an overall commercial strategy of the magazine.

– Produce formal weekly strategy reports highlighting business developments, results, title and individual performance and training needs.
– With the Sales Trainer, organising ongoing training and development of the team.

– Representing the management team across the department.
– Managers are expected to be present at work during the week their title closes.

The area: Cross-channel media sales – Print & online
This position is based in London, UK. Overseas travel will be required.

The role: Business Development Manager , APEX Media Platform
You’ll be developing and managing revenue and relationships with direct clients and agencies across a number of industries. You need to be a focused, proactive self-starter, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, you’re an advisor and consultant, as well as a client advocate within Ink.

You’ll use your analytical skills to develop and close new business, grow existing business, and support clients with insights, market analysis and other collateral. Above all, you’ll be responsible for hitting your revenue targets.

This role will require you to spend 2-3 days per week working from home and managing APEX’S North American market place. You will be expected to work from 5pm-11.30pm. This is a key part of the role, and one that needs complete dedication.

You will report to the APEX Media Platform Group Sales Manager.

Ink Publishing, the world’s largest publishers of in flight magazines, is looking for highly organised individuals wanting to gain picture desk experience. Assisting Ink’s four picture editors you will be carrying out online picture research, calling in images, liasing with Pr companies and general administrative duties.

We require hardworking, enthusiastic individuals with great organisational skills and the confidence and ability to use their own initiative. You must be able to juggle a number of tasks at one time as we work within a fast paced environment with extremely tight deadlines. Much of our picture research is conducted by telephone and often with people overseas so a confident telephone manner is vital. Most importantly though you should be an instinctively creative person with a great eye for imagery.

This is a picture desk role and is not suitable for people looking for editorial or journalism experience. Ideally you will have a background in photography and a good technical understanding of the digital image.

We are looking for people who can commit for a minimum of two weeks.
